NEWS & PRESS New Music with a little bit of RazzaMoJazz Medford, OR, May 5, 08 - A new jazz group, RazzaMoJazz, has formed in the Rogue Valley. It features Dean Angemeier on keyboard and David Bolen on drums. The duo will feature original jazz compositions by Mr. Angermeier. “I’ve always wanted to have the freedom to perform my own music instead of just jazz standards”, he explained. His partner, Mr. Bolen, agrees saying, “I think the contemporary jazz genre has been overlooked in southern Oregon but that there is a sizable market that has been waiting for an opportunity to hear smooth and contemporary jazz. Some of their influences include David Benoit, Bob James, Spyro Gyra, and The Rippingtons. RazzaMoJazz has performance dates at Four Daughters restaurant, 126 W. Main St. in Medford, every Thursday evening from 7pm-11pm throughout the month of July. Greg Frederick is featured on bass guitar. The three musicians also play in the popular rock/blues group The Rogue Suspects. That band includes Dirk Price on guitar and renown guitarist Jeff Pevar who has performed with music greats such as the late Ray Charles, David Crosby, Kenny Loggins, and many others.
