About the Band Born from their participation in the well known southern Oregon classic rock/blues band The Rogue Suspects, keyboardist , Dean Angermeier, and drummer David Bolen discovered a common musical interest in melodic contemporary jazz. They've joined forces as RazzaMoJazz, a name that captures the flare and spontaneity of their music in the jazz improvisational tradition. What makes RazzaMoJazz unique is their accomplished musical skill and momentary creativity that is delivered with a polished and well rehearsed sound. Due to their association with other talented musicians, RazzaMoJazz can expand from a duo to a larger musical configuration. Guest instrumentalists may be featured on bass, guitar or woodwinds. RazzaMoJazz performs with jazz sax sensation and Grammy Award-winner Brandon Fields (The Rippingtons, Tower of Power, Earth Wind & Fire, George Benson...many more), plus notable rock/blues guitarist Jeff Pevar (Ray Charles, Kenny Loggins, Marc Cohn, David Crosby...more). The Musicians: Dean Angermeier - Keyboards Dean learned piano from his mother, a noted teacher. He has been an award-winning musician since high school. He attended Univ. of Michigan School of Music. While in college his band, The Difference, won the “Best College Band” award from MTV. As a complete musician, he has toured Europe playing trombone as part of a big band orchestra. He also plays drums and bass. He is a key member of the popular band The Rogue Suspects. In addition, he has performed with Borderline, HorseFeathers, and Switch Trio among others. He has appeared on recordings with The Difference, Dig/TopKat, Borderline, and Moonraiser. His strongest musical influences are Pat Metheny and Donald Fagen. He is an accomplished amateur golfer and finds time on the course between music and family. David Bolen - Drums/Percussion David has lived around the world and has been playing the drums since age six. He brings a very musical orientation to the art of drumming. He colors the sound with finesse and sensitivity while simultaneously offering serious groove. He is versatile and performs many styles of music . He was a long time member of the popular variety band Heart & Soul. David has also performed with many diverse acts such as Brazilian pop star Dandara (Montreaux Jazz Festival) as well as surf/country guitar legend Nokie Edwards (Rock & Roll Hall of Fame group The Ventures). He performs regularly as a member of The Rogue Suspects. David is also an internationally published self-help author. Mark is an integral part of RazzaMoJazz. He provides an expertise that enhances the listening experience at the group’s “live” shows as well as with the band’s recordings. He is the founder of BlueJay Productions, a company that provides live sound and recording services.
